Mid - Autumn Festival: Connecting with Love

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival in Vietnam. It is celebrated annually on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. On this day, Vietnamese people usually eat mooncakes, enjoy lantern displays, and watch lion dances. The Mid-Autumn Festival is also an occasion for families to gather together. Families often organize small parties and play traditional games.

The Mid-Autumn Festival this year is different from previous years. The 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival arrives just after the northern provinces have endured severe impacts from Typhoon No. 3. The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs has issued Official Document No. 4251/BLĐTBXH-CTE on September 12, regarding the organization of the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival, addressed to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally administered cities.

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs has requested that provinces and cities pay attention to organizing the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival for children in a safe, economical, and meaningful manner, avoiding ostentatious or formalistic displays. Special consideration should be given to areas affected by Typhoon No. 3 Yagi and subsequent floods and natural disasters. It is strictly prohibited to hold large gatherings of children or large crowds, particularly where event venues or travel routes may be unsafe due to the impact of natural disasters and floods. Instead, online events, television broadcasts, or gift distribution to children (if feasible) are encouraged.

In the spirit of "Mutual Support and Compassion," Realtylink (Vietnam) has also made a small contribution to help alleviate some of the suffering endured by people in flood and disaster-affected areas. Each employee has their own way of contributing, but all share the same heartfelt charitable spirit toward their fellow citizens.

At Dat Phuong Nam Apartment, in response to the "Unified Heart Fund" appeal by Ho Chi Minh City Television, the Management Board is organizing a donation drive to support people in the northern regions. The donation period is from September 14, 2024, to the end of September 22, 2024. Afterward, the Management Board will invite the Board of Directors, residents, and neighborhood leaders to review the collected funds. Charity is a beautiful act and a traditional cultural value of our nation. It reflects love and sharing with others. It is truly something to be cherished!

In conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival event for children at the apartment, the program is being organized in a streamlined manner to ensure safety and to promote the donation drive for the affected communities. Here are some images captured from various projects:

No one shields me from the heavy rains,
Only I, beneath the bustling street corner,
